so we are back in Moret-Sur-Loing, one our favourite spots, after two weeks cruising with dianna’s mum. from Lagny we first ventured to Meaux for its excellent saturday market, which snakes over bridges and all through the town. then we headed down the Marne to paris, spending a night in Creteil, where one of those impressionist dudes (renoir?) spent too much time. then up the Seine to Moret. Highlights included a trip to Epernay by train to see what champagne is like at 10h45 in the morning (excellent) and this delightful fountain at the jardin de diane, Fountainebleau, which received mixed reviews from our party…
in our free week now dianna contines to wrestle the thesis, and i continue to tackle “boat jobs”. it’s not all doom and gloom though, there is wine every night.
